| Disclosure (I); General
Explanation of Waiver and Conflict of Interest Review
Many
traffic cases may be resolved by an attorney, without your having to appear in
Court.
In most
cases, we can obtain sufficient information through this Website to determine
whether or not we may accept your case.
Providing
the information on the following pages will allow us to determine if we will
represent you.
Your
information will be kept confidential and you will
be contacted by Email, at the Email address you provide, within one (1)
business day as to whether we accept your case.
Remember:
- You are
always welcome to call our office to speak with
someone about your case; and
- Only
certain cases may be resolved without a telephone call or face-to-face
consultation (if, for example, you have a single charge that can be resolved in
a single appearance in Wake County Disposition Court -- Courtroom
2A).
For more details
about fees and payment issues, review our fees
page.
Disclosure (II); Explanation of Our Right to Decline
Representation

you have responded in this Website, our office will complete a Conflict of
Interest check to ensure that we have no conflict and may represent you in this
matter.
In order
to establish an attorney/client relationship, your case must fit within the
parameters set forth on this Website and must be accepted by the Law Offices of
Daniel T. Barker, PLLC.
We reserve
the right to decline representation for any of the following reasons:
- We
determine that a conflict of interest exists that, under the NC State Bar Rules
of Professional Conduct, prevents us from representing you;
- We
determine that you are charged with a non-waiveable offense;
- Any
information provided to us is false or incomplete;
- Your
credit card payment is declined;
- Your
Court date is not scheduled on the date you have indicated; or
- You
fail to give adequate contact information to enable us to reach
you.
You will
be notified by Email, at the Email address you provided, within one (1)
business day from our receipt of your information, as to whether we will
represent you. We handle a wide variety of traffic matters, and will be happy
to discuss the details of any traffic case with you in the event that a case
cannot be resolved via this Website.
